Listening as Meditation

I am presently undertaking postgraduate research at the Sonic Arts Research Unit‚Äč at Oxford Brookes University. The aim of the research is to cultivate innovative listening and field recording praxis, grounded in Buddhist meditation and teachings. Through the exploration of auditory attention, listening practices, sound-based meditations and reflection on my own arts practice, I hope to develop community-based participatory practices that foster meditative calm, empathic joy and compassion supporting personal wellbeing and prosocial behaviour.
